    Welcome to Halifax, a vibrant seaside city where history and modernity meet. After picking up your rental car at Halifax Airport, take the short 30-minute drive to the city. Once settled in your hotel, take some time to explore the heart of Halifax on foot. With tree-lined streets, diverse restaurants, art galleries, libraries, and museums, Halifax is a city that invites leisurely exploration. Stroll through the bustling downtown area, relax at a charming sidewalk café, and enjoy the scenic views of the harbour, where ships from around the world come and go.If time permits, consider a visit to Peggy’s Cove. This iconic spot features a picturesque lighthouse perched at the top of a smooth, wave-worn granite, overlooking a tiny harbour filled with colourful fishing boats and weathered fish sheds. It's one of Canada's most photographed locations for a reason.In the evening, explore Halifax’s culinary scene by dining at one of the many seafood restaurants along the waterfront, where you can enjoy the fresh flavours of Nova Scotia.

    Drive along Nova Scotia’s scenic South Shore, passing through Peggy’s Cove on the Lighthouse Route. 
Lunenburg, a town renowned for its colorful waterfront, narrow streets, and unique architecture that reflects its shipbuilding and rum-running heritage. Upon arrival, treat yourself to the town’s famous fish and chips at The Fish Shack, followed by a homemade ice cream from Sweet Treasures Confectionery.In the afternoon, take part in a “Essenstial Lunenburg Tour tour. Your journey begins in Old Town Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As you explore the town, you’ll learn about its most cherished landmarks and the stories that make this place so unique. The tour continues with a visit to Blue Rocks and Stonehurst, where the rugged coastline and picturesque landscapes create a photographer’s paradise. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit a working fishing village and meet some of the local residents.To round off your journey of Lunenburg’s maritime history, visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic. Located in a former fish processing plant, the museum offers hands-on experiences like exploring retired fishing schooners, touching sea creatures in the touch tank, and learning to shuck scallops. Don’t miss the restored fishing schooner, "Theresa E. Conner," docked alongside the museum.

    Today, take a scenic drive from Halifax to the charming town of Wolfville. Rich in history, Wolfville is a gateway to the story of the Acadians and the heart of Nova Scotia's flourishing wine scene. Once you arrive, enjoy lunch at one of the town’s many quaint eateries, such as Church Brewing, Longfellows, or Troy Restaurant.
In the afternoon, indulge in a wine Tour at Grand Pré Wines, the oldest farm winery in Atlantic Canada.

Our tours are suitable for all age demographics. The average age of travelers is typically 45+

There are options for single travelers to join most tours. Solo Travelers can choose to pay the single supplement and have their own room throughout the tour. For those willing to share, we also have a Twin Share option that is offered for the majority of our tours. This means you will be sharing the hotel rooms with another single, same gender traveller who also books the Twin Share option. If this is the case, there will be no single supplement charged to either of you. If we are unable to match you with another Twin Share traveler, there may be a single surcharge applied to cover the full cost of the rooms on some of our longer tours. Please enquire before finalizing your booking for full details.

This tour has a low level of physical demand, although there may be some activities or sightseeing tours that require walking short distances. Please inquire if you have any mobility restrictions before completing your booking to ensure this tour is right for you.

Each passenger may bring one large suitcase and one carry-on bag. The weight limit for this suitcase is 32 kilograms/60 pounds. Baggage handling is provided at the hotels in our tour packages. Please advise our reservations staff if you will be bringing additional items such as a cane, walker or wheelchair. You may also bring one small soft-sided carry-on bag, which should easily fit into the overhead shelf of the coach. Each person is responsible for his/her own carryon luggage. Remember to check your airline baggage restrictions if you are flying, as they may differ from Anderson Vacations Tours guidelines.

The suggested allowance for non-included meals is $40.00 — $60.00 CAD per day (includes tipping).

Yes! There are many meals included on our fully escorted tours. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions at the time of booking so we can ensure there are alternative meal choices and arrangements made for you.

For your convenience, gratuities for local guides and meals stated on the itinerary are included in the price of the tour. For meals not included in your tour package please remember that it is customary to tip your server 15-20% in North America. Gratuities for your Motorcoach Driver and Tour Director are left to your discretion.
