After checking into your hotel, take time to explore the city at your own pace stroll along the river pathways framed by fall colours, wander through Stephen Avenue, or settle into a cozy restaurant to enjoy Alberta’s seasonal flavours.

Day 2: Explore Calgary

Discover Calgary’s rich history and culture on your included Xploring Calgary tour, featuring a visit to Heritage Park Historical Village. Travel through the city by bus as your guide shares stories and insights, before stepping back in time at one of Canada’s largest living history museums. With over 180 exhibits, vintage rides, and immersive experiences, Heritage Park brings the past to life. In your free time, consider visiting Studio Bell, home of Canada’s National Music Centre, or explore the SAM Centre for an interactive look at Calgary’s iconic Stampede culture. In the fall, the city’s parks and riverfront pathways are especially beautiful, with golden foliage creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxed afternoon.

Day 3: Calgary to Banff

Leave the city behind as you journey into the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Today’s included sightseeing tour introduces you to Banff’s most iconic landscapes. Ride the Banff Gondola to the summit of Sulphur Mountain for sweeping views of the Bow Valley, where forested slopes glow with fall colour. Then visit the stunning Lake Minnewanka for a scenic cruise steeped in history.  Arriving in Banff, take time to explore this charming alpine town, known for its boutique shops, cozy cafés, and mountain views at every turn. In the fall, the surrounding landscapes come alive with golden larches and crisp mountain air, perfect for an evening stroll.

Day 4: Explore Banff

Today, indulge in a truly unique culinary experience at the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. Your guided “Eat the Castle” tour takes you through this historic property, where you’ll enjoy a progressive dining experience across several of its renowned venues while learning about the hotel’s rich history, art, and architecture. Outside of your tour, enjoy free time to explore Banff further. Wander along the Bow River, visit Bow Falls, or take in the autumn colours on one of the many scenic walking trails. The town’s relaxed atmosphere and stunning surroundings make it easy to slow down and soak it all in.

Day 5: Banff to Jasper

Travel one of the most scenic drives in the world today as you journey from Banff to Jasper along the Icefields Parkway. This unforgettable route showcases the very best of the Rockies, with stops at breathtaking viewpoints including Bow Lake, Crowfoot Glacier, Athabasca Falls, and the Weeping Wall. Experience the Columbia Icefield up close with a Glacier Adventure and walk along the glass-floored Glacier Skywalk for panoramic views over the valley below. Upon arrival in Jasper, settle into this laid-back mountain town surrounded by pristine wilderness.

Day 6: Explore Jasper

Take in Jasper’s stunning alpine scenery with a ride on the Jasper SkyTram, the highest and longest aerial tramway in the Canadian Rockies. Tour Questions

Our tours are suitable for all age demographics. The average age of travelers is typically 45+

There are options for single travelers to join most tours. Solo Travelers can choose to pay the single supplement and have their own room throughout the tour. For those willing to share, we also have a Twin Share option that is offered for the majority of our tours. This means you will be sharing the hotel rooms with another single, same gender traveller who also books the Twin Share option. If this is the case, there will be no single supplement charged to either of you. If we are unable to match you with another Twin Share traveler, there may be a single surcharge applied to cover the full cost of the rooms on some of our longer tours. Please enquire before finalizing your booking for full details.

This tour has a low level of physical demand, although there may be some activities or sightseeing tours that require walking short distances. Please inquire if you have any mobility restrictions before completing your booking to ensure this tour is right for you.

Each passenger may bring one large suitcase and one carry-on bag. The weight limit for this suitcase is 32 kilograms/60 pounds. Baggage handling is provided at the hotels in our tour packages. Please advise our reservations staff if you will be bringing additional items such as a cane, walker or wheelchair. You may also bring one small soft-sided carry-on bag, which should easily fit into the overhead shelf of the coach. Each person is responsible for his/her own carryon luggage. Remember to check your airline baggage restrictions if you are flying, as they may differ from Anderson Vacations Tours guidelines.

The suggested allowance for non-included meals is $40.00 — $60.00 CAD per day (includes tipping).

Yes! There are many meals included on our fully escorted tours. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions at the time of booking so we can ensure there are alternative meal choices and arrangements made for you.

For your convenience, gratuities for local guides and meals stated on the itinerary are included in the price of the tour. For meals not included in your tour package please remember that it is customary to tip your server 15-20% in North America. Gratuities for your Motorcoach Driver and Tour Director are left to your discretion. We recommend $4.00 - $5.00 CAD per person, per day for your Motorcoach Driver and $6.00 - $7.00 CAD per person, per day for your Tour Director. if you can't find your
